PE and Sports Premium
PE & Sports Premium
Allocations for PE and Sports Premium are calculated using the number of pupils in years 1 to 6, as recorded in the annual census, as follows:
- schools with 17 or more pupils receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil
- schools with 16 or fewer pupils receive £1,000 per pupil
Where a school’s pupils are not recorded by year group, pupils aged 5 to 10 are deemed eligible.
Stone Bay School currently has 69 pupils who are eligible for this funding.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of physical education (PE), physical activity and sport offered.
This means that we should use the premium to:
Develop or add to the PE, physical activity and development as well as sport activities that the school already offers.
Build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
